Have you ever felt like the 12th man of cricket, in freelancing?

Person 1: I am a freelancer, I work at my convenience, I earn in lakhs… and this is perfect, that is perfect and everything is perfect.

Person 2: Whoa! awesome… that’s huge. I too am interested and will start my freelancing soon.

Person 3: Hey! the market is full of freelancers. Supply is more than demand. Yes, it gives you the opportunity to be your own boss to great extent but not much scope is left. I am struggling here.

Me to everyone: Hey guys! Interesting talk going on, haa!

See, there are always some pros and cons to everything that we do on this earth.
More Supply just in numbers is not the right definition of saturation in the market.

To work in a hierarchy is a bit simpler task.
If you are not getting enough out of freelancing despite being your own boss, it is because you are still not skilled enough to be the boss.

There are some hard realities of freelancing. This is not only from the demand side but more from suppliers.

Yes, people. I am talking about the right set of skills and the right knowledge to deal with a business that is required to fulfil the demands of both parties.

Gain knowledge about the Business Models from offering quotations to delivering the best skills for outcomes. And don’t be in hurry, these skills take time.

This is the true meaning of being a BOSS or a successful freelancer.

A successful Boss (of own) is successful because S/he is the most hardworking and most skilled one.
If you think FLEXIBILITY is not a 9-5 job and this is wow wow.
Just rephrase it. It can be before 9 a.m. and after 5 p.m. also.

When you are starting your freelancing or any career journey, don’t see your goal through others’ eyes.

Dear beginners, you have to create your own story. You cannot go with pre-set notions.

The market has only conclusions for you because every journey is different, how you are introducing yourself and performing in the market is more important for you.

Just do and observe, you will get to know what did you miss when you blinked your eyes. Rectify your mistakes.

The kind of saturation you see is mostly in the beginning whether it’s employer or employee.

Fill those gaps and keep working hard until you achieve the best of yourself.
In this way, after 3-5 years you find yourself Up on the ladder and a few people still whispering…
oh God, nowadays the market is saturated.

No business will say NO to profits. You are always in demand if you can add value to your customers.

With your determination, efforts, and skills just cross this level and you will SEE THE SEA of endless opportunities.

A lot more on the same topic. Let’s keep this more for some other day when we meet for tea/ Coffee.

By the way, I am a TEA LOVER

Cheers,
Deepti
